Camping continued

See below

Out and About

Thursday we visited the weekly Marketfest in downtown Redding for a little socializing, a little beer and wine and some Thai food. Friday, we went to Lassen State Park for a little camping. It was our first time camping together, and the first time either of us had camped in a while so we forgot a few things, like pillows, dish soap, forks, spoons, etc. But, we figured we would be prepared next time now that we know what we missed. We had a great time Friday, but unfortunately my back still hurts and Casey pulled a muscle in her neck on Saturday morning, so we're at home resting instead of out hiking. Nonetheless, we were glad to get some camping in and plan to do it several more times before it starts to get cold.

Kitty

Kitty struck a pose or two while Casey took pictures.

I dare you to find a more lovable cat.

RAIN

I love blue skies. I love sunny day after sunny day. I'm a product of my New Mexico upbringing. But after months of smoke and 100 + days, I would love some rain. These clouds don't look like much, but they are apparently a precursor to some rain that is supposed to be on its way.

Do a little dance, make a little rain.

Please.

Da' House

There have been some requests to see the outside of the house. 'Bout time, I know. I am also throwing in a couple extra photos. Tomatoes anyone? And you'll see that Casey set up our second table outside and made a little space where we can sit when it cools down in the evening. It reminds me a lot of home back in El Valle.

2nd Anniversary Celebration

Two years :) !!!!!!!

We went to Chico for a special dinner at the Sierra Nevada Restaurant. Casey got steak and wine. And Jakob got meatloaf. Both of us were very happy. Then, we went and spent more money than we thought possible at Trader Joe's. Who wants to come over for dinner?

Then, we drove into the sunset and Jakob made Casey get out of the car so he could take her picture in the nice light next to the train tracks. Unfortunately, a train came and the photo shoot was cut short. But we still made nice pictures.
